Hello World!

Well, it’s finally happening. I’ve said for years now that I wanted to start blogging again. So I’m back on this all new-to-me platform with a new domain name. I’m still trying to figure this platform out. I’m finding it isn’t as simple or intuitive as the Blogspot I used previously. So bear with me while I’m under construction. My old domain “Journey to 100 and Beyond” had already been taken so I needed a new domain. What better than “Lovethismtblife” as I had already been using it on a couple of my other social media platforms. At some point I plan to migrate my Blogspot over to WordPress . And give my PCT story some editing, but that will be much later down the line. I want to focus on getting my new content out focusing on the journey of life I am on now.

Those that are new to my story, I had thru hiked the PCT in 2014 and blogged the entire journey. This is how I got into blogging and sharing my stories on my journey through life. The blog is still out there on Blogspot but based on my research WordPress appears to be the better platform for blogging.

So here we are in the new chapter of my life which I started in 2015 after hiking the PCT and moving to Northern California. I bought myself a mountain bike as a gift to myself for completing the PCT. And honestly, it was the best investment I have made! I started racing 2 weeks after purchasing that first mountain bike. It has completely shaped my life and who I’ve become as an endurance athlete. Obviously a lot has happened over the past 8 years from when I bought my bike to present day 2023! I’m not going to go back and rehash everything that’s happened over the years. I’ll simply start fresh here.  A new year, a new race season and some fun new adventures and announcements I have for 2023.

So welcome to my crazy world of mountain biking, training, racing, and all the other fun adventurous mishaps I may find myself in. I plan to share my race reports, training adventures, simple pleasures I’m finding in life and any other adventurous stories or mishaps that may seem fun or meaningful to share here. Welcome and enjoy the ride.

Awesome! Looking forward to regular updates to the MTB life. I’m so far removed from the lifestyle that I love to froad vacariously through your adventures. Congratulations!
